    Ingredients

    1 pound raw chicken wings – approximately 19

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    1 teaspoon kosher salt

    12 teaspoon black pepper

    14 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    14 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    12 teaspoon paprika

    12 teaspoon sugar

    cooking spray

    Sauce

    1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce

    12 cup honey

    4 tablespoons butter

    2 tablespoons hot sauce

    2 tablespoons ketchup

    12 teaspoon garlic powder

    Directions

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Rinse the chicken wings and pat dry with a paper towel.

    In a large bowl, add the sugar, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper and paprika and stir vigorously until completely mixed.

    Add chicken wings individually to mix blend and coat completely.

    Using the cooking spray, coat a baking sheet liberally so that the entire surface is covered to prevent sticking. Place the chicken wings on the baking sheet in a single layer, and try to keep the wings from touching if possible.

    Place the wings into the oven and set your timer for 35 minutes, turning them once midway through baking, to ensure that each side gets caramelized. Check the wings after 35 minutes and continue cooking for approximately five more minutes if needed.

    While the wings are baking, mix the butter, ketchup, hot sauce, honey, garlic powder and barbecue sauce in a saucepan, heat until just beginning to bubble, then simmer on low heat, stirring frequently.

    Remove the wings from the oven and, using tongs, dip each wing into the sauce, coating them completely. Place them back on the baking sheet, put them back in the oven and set your timer for five minutes.

    Remove the wings from the oven, let cool for a few minutes and serve. Make sure to serve the remaining sauce on the side, for guest that like their wings extra saucy.

    • 4 large portobello mushroom caps

    Directions:

    1. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and cayenne pepper in medium sized bowl. Mix well.

    2. Lightly beat eggs. Dip florets of cauliflower in egg and roll in breadcrumb mixture until coated evenly on all sides.

    3. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Fry cauliflower until golden brown, turn, and repeat. Remove with slotted spoon and place on a paper towel lined platter to absorb any excess oil. Repeat until all cauliflower florets are done.

    Serve immediately for best results.

    Notes:

    • Serve with marinara sauce and sprinkle with extra Parmesan Cheese for added flavor.
